About Me

I’m Keith Nelson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Calfornia and Oregon, now based in Wilsonville, Oregon. I graduated with my Masters of Social Work degree in 2000. I've worked as a clinician, supervisor, clinical manager and designed and implemented programs for dual diagnosis patients in both public and private settings. I have also authored research on emotional dissonance as well as been part of a team of researchers at San Jose State University focusing on public health and drug abuse.

I am now in private practice. I truly care about my patients’ well-being and believe that it takes courage to ask for help and also to break that stigma that too often comes with seeking assistance for psychological problems. I believe that an atmosphere of safety, trust, respect and compassion is essential to providing the room for real change to occur.

 

I provide a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences. I believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship focused on your well-being and health. I am happy to discuss any information you would like or need if you are considering engaging in therapy.
